Today for our usual space for interviews, we interviewed Massimiliano Gallo of " Il Napolista ", an online newspaper which aims to tell the story of the city of Naples through football and the passion for Napoli Calcio. We remind you that Massimiliano will be present at the Marketing and Sports Communication Course which will be held in Naples on 22 September and to which you are all invited!! Hi Massimiliano, tell me a little about yourself and your online newspaper “Il Napolista”; Napolista was born for fun. It's an idea I had as an "emigrant" when I worked at the Riformista. It was born in collaboration with Fabrizio d'Esposito, also at Riformista and like me a Napoli fan. The aim was to write about football with a political approach.
Il Napolista is also a way of describing Naples through football. When Find Your Phone Number did you realize that journalism would become your job? I started very early, at 19 years old. Despite having tried to abandon it several times, journalism has always chased me. In the end I resigned myself. I've always considered it a strange job, I find it more difficult not to be a journalist than to work 14 hours a day. Greater satisfaction in carrying out your work? What challenges did you have to face in order to get to where you are today? Lots of satisfaction. I started early with an experience in Alto Adige, I was a reporter in Naples, I was a correspondent at the Diaz school on the evening of the massacre in Genoa, I had a long experience of political journalism at the Riformista.
Before deciding, in 2011, to experiment with the web with the foundation of one of the first online newspapers: Linkiesta with Jacopo Tondelli. Course in Marketing & Sports Communication: can you tell our readers about the topics covered in your speech? What basic objective do you have for those present? I would like to try to explain that online journalism can be quality, in-depth journalism. The web is not or is not just click-baiting, it would be a lack of respect towards readers who are instead looking for content, even with regards to sports journalism and even manifestly biased sports journalism such as Napolista.
